One of many kinds of drug dependency that needs to be treated in a substance abuse rehab is the addiction to the club drug or party pill called ecstasy. It is called a club drug because it is usually distributed and consumed in party settings or all-night social gatherings where people dance, rave, and rub bodies indiscriminately. Ecstasy is popular in such party settings because the pill gives heightened sensations of pleasure, exhilaration and increased sensual and sexual sensations. The drug has the tendency to increase a persons body temperature and blood pressure and this makes it a dangerous and potentially fatal drug. Ectasy has been a common addiction at many a substance abuse rehab center.
